Big-named guest stars seem to line up to be on the set of the highly-watched Ugly Betty, which stars America Ferrera and Vanessa Williams. First, there was Posh Spice Victoria Beckham, the former pop star and current wife of football hottie, David Beckham, who brought along her kids Brooklyn , Romeo and Cruz to the shoot. Her stint has barely ended when rumors of Lindsay Lohan appearing on Ugly Betty proliferated all over the media.

Wilhelmina Slater is to face the altar with Meade Publication’s founder himself, Bradford Meade, when her own maid of honor, Victoria Beckham, seems to be stealing the limelight. Of course, being the Slater that she is, Wilhelmina won’t let this incident pass by just like that, and she is ready to show Victoria who the real star of the wedding is.

Meanwhile, Betty is being eaten up by guilty after she had a secret arrangement with Wilhelmina, who told her to keep it from Daniel. Betty also knows about Wilhelmina’s clandestine liaison with her bodyguard, who is played by Vanessa William’s real life ex-husband, Rick Fox. Back at the Suarez residence, Betty’s father is looking forward to getting his U.S. citizenship, but is saddened at Betty’s decision of moving in with her new boyfriend, Henry.

Catch the latest episode of Ugly Betty’s season 2 tonight on ABC. As for Lindsay’s Ugly Betty stint, TV Squad reported that unnamed sources on the set of the show have been talking about Lohan’s representatives, who seem to be in negotiation with the producers. They said that the young actress might be having a three-episode arc in the series, portraying her as an assistant manager of the fast food joint where Betty’s father works. Lohan’s character will be an ex-high school beauty queen who is forced into a job after encountering hard times. Betty feels for the plight of the young girl and offers her a job at Mode. This much has circulated, but as for Lohan’s final say on this matter, fans will have to sit and wait.

Aguilera steps out of a car, cleverly labeled Baby Jane (as a reference to Bette Davis), dressed in a sparkling white dress topped off with a vintage hat set over her curly, blonde hair. Her next outfit features fur and a lot of extravagant jewelry, a clear reference to glamorous women in the 1950s, most notably, Marilyn Monroe. Like the video for “Moulin Rouge”, Christina Aguilera continues to commemorate the daring women who paved the road for her own work.

Later that year, Lohan’s parents settled their divorce case; her mother’s attorney said, “Dina and the children are delighted that this chapter in their lives is finally over”, while her father (through his lawyer) said, “I look forward to the opportunity to rebuild my relationship with my children.”

According to the data gathered over a three month period from Sept 07 to Nov 07, the most popular sunglasses worn by today’s leading celebrities in order of ‘sighting volume’ included Ray-Ban, Oakley, Dior, Gucci, Oliver Peoples, Tom Ford, Prada and Chrome Hearts.

Over this period 154 celebrities were tracked wearing 51 brands of sunglasses in dozens of models. Repeated occurrences of one celebrity wearing the same glasses were not included in the results. For the data driven among you, Ray-Ban with 35 celebrity sightings outpaced their nearest competitors by almost 2 to 1, with Oakley and Dior showing up on 20 celebrities each. No wonder Oakley bought Ray-Ban! If you can’t beat ‘em - buy ‘em! A detailed grid of the results is shown below.

The stragglers were Gucci with 18 sightings, Oliver Peoples - 17, Tom Ford - 15, Prada - 12 and Chrome Hearts came in last at 10 sightings.

Considering the average cost of these individual brands (at least for this review) these numbers are not surprising. The average price for a pair of celebrity Ray-Ban’s is about $120. The Chrome Hearts sunglasses are a little steeper, averaging $500 a pair.

The cost of these sunglasses varied from a low of $50, seen on Britney Spears sporting a pair of convenience store sunglasses (Anthropologie’s Glamorama) to the most outrageously expensive pair from Nefarious called Auric, flaunted by the ubiquitous Lindsay Lohan with a slightly higher price tag of $30,000.

As many consumers tend to buy what their idols and icons are wearing, supposedly in hopes of recreating the ‘A list’ effect, it is interesting to find that the average pair of celebrity sunglasses doesn’t cost nearly as much as you might think.

Although market research in the U.S. places the average pair of sunglasses for both men and women in the under $30 range, men actually spending somewhat more than women, a huge consumer market exists for higher end sunglasses and there are dozens of players vying for their piece of this enormous multi-billion dollar market. Why else would Luxottica pay $2.1 billion for the purchase of Oakley?

So what does it really cost to look like your favorite celebrity? Throwing out the low and high end sunglasses mentioned above, the average retail price of pair of sunglasses as seen on America’s most famous celebrities was actually only $269.

Now for most folks from the heartland that is a tidy sum to be plunking down in the hopes that someone will mistake them for Britney, Jessica, Lindsay, Angelina or Brad.

But considering this youth oriented culture has tens of millions of youth oriented consumers (including those aging baby-boomers from the sixties and seventies) who shell out hundreds, even thousands of dollars for brand name blue jeans, sneakers, t-shirts and jackets, not to mention alcohol and sports drinks, make-up, jewelry and handbags, the above price tag looks almost reasonable.

So if everyone will just Digg into your piggy banks and look under the sofa cushions and scrape together about $300 (don’t forget the sales tax) we can all toddle on down the our local Sunglass Hut and spring for another pair of celebrity sunglasses to replace the ones you sat on last week.

On how the showbiz industry treats her: What hurts me the most is that I work just as hard as any other actress around my age, like Scarlett Johansson, but I just don’t get the opportunities that they get because people are so distracted by the mess that I created in my life. But that doesn’t mean it’s going to last forever.

The interview comes out at a pretty opportune time, considering how insistent Lohan is that she and Ronson are not breaking up. From MySpace blog entries to talk-backs at the nosy paparazzi, Lohan has been trying hard to veer attention away from her personal life.

Lindsay Lohan’s life has been the subject of media scrutiny. But one thing remains for sure - she’s definitely one hot and sexy celebrity who has kept our eyes glued on with her every move. And just recently, she posed as Marilyn Monroe in the new spring fashion issue of New York magazine. Recreating Monroe’s legendary 1962 final photo shoot, Lohan said she was comfortable being nude in front of the camera.

Born in New York, 21-year-old Lohan began her career as a child fashion model for magazine advertisement and television commercials. At age 10, she began her acting career in soap opera. She made her motion picture debut in 1998 via the Disney remake of The Parent Trap, in which she played identical twins Hallie and Annie.

The hot and sexy young actress eventually rose to stardom with her leading roles in films such as Freaky Friday (2003), Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004), Mean Girls (2004), and Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005). She also appeared in Just My Luck (2005), A Prairie Home Companion (2006), Bobby (2006), and I Know Who Killed Me (2007), among others.

In December 2004, Lohan embarked on a second career, launching her debut album Speak. The album, which was described as a blend of old-fashioned dance-pop and anthemic arena rock sound, peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum by early 2005. Her second album, A Little More Personal (Raw), which was released in December 2005 was certified gold despite little promotion due to her hectic schedule.

With regards to her drug and alcohol issues, Lohan has checked into rehab for the third time and is now sober. Her next film is a musical/romance one, Dare to Love Me, now in production. The hot and sexy star is also working on her third studio album, set for release this year.

Last night London certainly had its fair share of celebrities out on the town.

First we caught up with X Factor judge Louis Walsh who was all smiles when we spotted him doing some Christmas shopping with a mystery male companion on Kensington High Street.

Nurse Winehouse Is Ready For Duty…

Amy Winehouse has been helping to look after patients at the private clinic she’s staying at in London.

The Back To Black singer has been staying at the rehabilitation centre for almost three weeks, but she nearly got chucked out recently after a visit from Blake sent her back to her old binging ways. So in a desperate bid to stay in their good books, Amy has been helping the nurses to look after patients by serving them meals. A hospital insider revealed:

“She has been charming the nurses by helping them with their tasks. She’s been mucking in.”

Never mind looking after other people Amy, you should worry about looking after yourself…

Lindsay Lohan Makes A Fool Of Herself…

Whenever we see photos of Lindsay Lohan she’s always got a mobile phone glued to the side of her head. So it was no surprise to us when we found out that her constant obsession with chatting on the phone got her into a bit of trouble yesterday.

Whilst Lindsay was yapping away on the blower during a shopping trip in West Hollywood, she passed a group of waiting paparazzi. As she wasn’t paying attention to what she was doing the Mean Girls actress accidentally got into the back seat of a photographer’s car, instead of her own chauffeur driven ride. Realising her mistake, the red faced star quickly got out of the pap’s motor and hopped into her car alongside her assistant. That’ll teach her…

Russell Brand Goes Home With Three Women

Russell Brand is back in London, and he’s up to his old tricks. After going to the Bedtime Stories premiere in Kensington last night, where he snubbed journalists on the red carpet, the comedian headed to Vendome in Mayfair.

Sitting in the VIP area of the club, Russell selected a bevy of beauties to come and sit with him. An onlooker revealed:

“His booth was crowded with attractive girls, but Russell spent most of his time chatting to a striking brunette. They were huddled up close and he was whispering in her ear.”

Though Russell made a big show of walking past photographers by himself at 2am, the cheeky star managed to smuggle a whole group of girls home with him. A source revealed:

“Russell called it a night just before 2am. He made of point of appearing to leave alone, but his security team had already bundled three girls, including the brunette, into his car.”

You can run Russell, but you can’t hide!
